Newark Mayor Announces 4 new Firefighters

Newark Mayor Jeff Hall has announced the addition of four new Firefighter/Paramedics to the Newark Division of Fire. A swearing in ceremony will be held on Monday March 12th starting at 10:00 am at the Newark Fire Station at 75 South 4th Street in downtown Newark. The four new hire are 34-year-old Rich Nethers who is a 12 year veteran of the United States Army and Ohio Army National Guard. 30-year-old Jonathan Spohn, a 2006 graduate of Logan High School. He obtained his EMT and Level II Firefighter Certification from Hocking College. 21-year-old Dylan Mullen is a graduate of Johnstown-Monroe High School and attended fire school at Central Ohio Technical College. Beau Daubenmire is a 1998 graduate of Fairfield Union High School in Lancaster. He received his associates degree in fire and emergency service in 2008 from Columbus State Community College.
