Newark Police Searching for Shooting Suspect
The Newark Police Department has issued a warrant for the arrest of a Newark man wanted in connection to a double shooting.
Police are searching for 19-year-old Emmanuel Scott Sesley. He’s an African-American male approximately 6’0 tall, 230lbs with short black hair and or bald. He also has brown eyes.
His last known address was on Elmwood Avenue in Newark, but he also has ties to the Columbus area.
Authorities are in the process of identifying a white pick up truck and the driver of that vehicle. The truck is believed to be a Ford make and has a damaged tailgate.
It’s believed Sesley and another suspect were driven away from a shooting scene on Glenbrook Avenue on Monday afternoon.
Police said in the truck is an unknown younger white male. At this time detectives ask the driver of the truck to contact Newark Police, as there is no evidence that links him to being directly involved in the shootings.
Anyone with information into Sesley’s whereabouts or information regarding the truck or driver are asked to contact Newark Police Detective Sgt. Scott Snow or Detective Steve Vanoy at (740) 670-7209 or (740) 404-8932. Callers may also contact the Licking County Crime Stoppers at (740) 349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058.
