Newark Woman Dies After Being Struck By Car

A 53-year-old  Newark woman who was struck by a car Saturday in Heath has died.
 

A Spokesperson with Grant Medical Center in Columbus  says Holly Hammond died Sunday night .
 

Heath Fire Department Captain Earl Miller says Hammond was attempting to cross Ohio 79 near Hopewell Drive when she was struck by a car.
 

She was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital and then taken by Medflight to Grant Medical Center where she later died.
