Nominations are Now Open for 2016 Women of Achievement Award

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Women of Achievement Event Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2016 Women of Achievement Award.

This year, the Muskingum Family Y, Ohio University of Zanesville, and Zane State College are partnering to honor women.

“We are accepting nominations for women from Muskingum County, who live or work in Muskingum County, business, education, health care professions, special recognition, young adult and bright futures. We have all those 7 categories we accept nominations through February 10th,” said Chairperson, Christine Shaw.

Shaw said they will hold a banquet to recognize the winners with the proceeds going to a good cause.

“We recognize those individuals with a banquet and all the proceeds from the banquet are used for scholarships from women in Muskingum County. Who attend either Zane State College or Ohio University Zanesville. We’re really excited about the partnership between the two institutions of higher education and Muskingum Family Y to make this event continue here in our community,” said Shaw.
