Norma Dae Boykin (July 12, 1926 – November 14, 2015)

Norma Dae Boykin, 89, of Zanesville, died at 5:10 P.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at The Oaks of Bethesda. She was born July 12, 1926 in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Herman and Leona Lawrence Downing. She was a member of Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church and the Muskingum County Senior Center.

Surviving are her three daughters, Donna (Bert) Copeland of Nashville, TN, Wanda (Jurgen) Rieger of Seattle, WA, and Brenda Jordan of Dublin, OH; six grandchildren, Owen, Carolyn and Shawna Copeland, Jared Rieger, Kendra (Ben)Thew and Sarah (Brad) Kernan; a great granddaughter, Ella Elizabeth Kernan; two brothers, Russell Downing of Chandlersville and Dr. Ronald (Cindy) Downing of McConnelsville; and a sister, Helen (Gene) McDaniel of Stow; a special niece, Tyna Dailey of Adamsville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, I.V. Boykin who died in 1999; a brother, Richard Downing and a sister, Betty McCrary.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. till time of service at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville with Pastor Matthew Blau officiating. Norma will be laid to rest next to her husband at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
