ODOT Construction to Benefit Traffic Flow
Finding your way through Maple Avenue has just gotten a little easier thanks to the Ohio Department of Transportation’s new upgrades.
ODOT is installing new, larger road signs to help motorists identify side roads. Kate Stickle of ODOT says soon they will be doing even more to the roads.
“Soon you will see new traffic signals also being put up during the night hours, so there will be night construction going on,” said Stickle. “During the day there will also be construction with concrete medians and the right in, right out access only.”
Stickle says that although the project got off to a slow start, it’s moving along well now.
“We ran into some issues, but now we should be hitting the target dates,” she said. “Weather permitting, September 30 is when the construction will be completed. As always, remember when you’re going through this corridor to be cautionary of the construction workers and the crews that are out along the roadways.”
Stickle says after the construction is finished, Maple Avenue should be much easier to navigate.
She says the new signals and street signs will make the roadway more efficient and safe.
