ODOT Says Do Your Part

The Ohio Department of Transportation is asking for your help with the mixed precipitation that will happen in east cenral and southeastern Ohio.

With freezing rain, ice, sleet, snow, rain expected in our area Tuesday crews will be out monitoring and treating the roadway. Since early Tuesday morning, more than 60 snowplows have been treating highways, bridges, ramps and overpasses throughout Southeastern Ohio.

ODOT said with the freezing rain advisory in effect, keeping pavements wet, not icy, is the goal. Once this snowfight is over crews will again start preparing the trucks for Wednesday night’s snow storm.

You can do your part by giving them plenty of room to work, taking it slow, and remember to turn your lights on if your wipers are on.
