ODOT Works To Clear Roads

We’re starting our Friday off with snowy conditions around Southeastern Ohio.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reports that over 95 plows are working their way through District 5 roadways which includes Muskingum County as well as six others.

ODOT reminds motorists, in Ice & Snow, Take It Slow, buckle up and don’t drive distracted. Drivers need to be especially cautious when traveling over hills, as well as in curves and on bridges and overpasses, which have a tendency to freeze more quickly.

Muskingum County’s ODOT garage reported that 2 inches of snow has fallen as of 6:30 Friday morning. Coshocton County’s garage reports an inch of snow as of 6:00a.m. Guernsey, Licking and Perry Counties all report a half inch of snow.
