Ohio Governor Announces Schools to Close for Three Weeks Starting Monday

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine Thursday said that schools in Ohio will have a three week spring break starting at the end of classes on Monday. The move is a precaution against the spread of the coronavirus and will last at least until April 3rd.
DeWine said during his daily coronavirus update that “we have to slow this down.”
The Governor stated that unless a child had a medical problem, the risk of death for a child of coronavirus is not very high.
DeWine says the state will review the length of the school closing at the end of that time.
The Governor also confirmed a 5th coronavirus case in the state, a 55-year-old Trumbull County man.
DeWine also announced new orders on large gatherings, banning groups of 100 people or more. It does not include grocery stores, transit, athletic events that exclude spectators, religious events, weddings or funerals.
