Ohio Makes Festival at Zane State College

Ohio Makes Festival

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – If you’re a die hard Ohio fan, then you’re in luck.

There’s a festival coming up that will only have Ohio made products. Ohio Makes Festival will be at Zane State College October 6th and 7th. The IDEA Lab at Zane State is designed to be a creative space based around people making and manufacturing. Manager, Chip Clark said they hope to expand the lab, so they came up with this festival.

“We are a community college, so we want to keep this in the community to have the community know that they can use this lab and that these tools are available for them,” Clark said.

Clark said the funds that are raised will go back to the lab to purchase more equipment. He said he feels this festival will bring the community together and showcase what Ohio is about. He hopes this will turn into an annual event.

“Since the lab is based on making and creating, we thought it would be a good match to actually have local people who are doing this – creating business, creating jobs, creating manufacturing and we wanted to keep it local and an Ohio thing,” explained Clark.

The festival will have over 30 vendors, food trucks, live entertainment and you can check out the IDEA Lab for yourself. Parking and admission are free. For more information, you can visit Ohio Makes Festival on Facebook.
