ZANESVILLE, OH – Buckeye Fans are getting ready for game day, and one local group is inviting the community to come cheer on the Scarlet and Gray while helping students reach their college goals.

The OSU Alumni Club of Muskingum County is hosting a Buckeye Game Day Watch Party at The Barn in Zanesville on Saturday, October 18th. The Barn will open at 11 a.m. with a full menu of food and drinks, and the party will start one hour before kickoff of the Ohio State and Wisconsin game. KThe event will include the Big Cash Scholarship Raffle at halftime. There will also be a silent auction and an OSU Spirit Raffle.

“Someone will win at halftime. There will be a $1,000 cash winner, a $500 cash winner, and $250 will be drawn at halftime of the game. So, we’re selling raffle tickets for that. We’ll also be having some other raffles that day for some smaller items.” Bo Coconis, the Ohio State Alumni Club of Muskingum County Vice President said.

Admission is free, and the event is open to the public. All proceeds will go to the OSUACMC Scholarship Fund, which helps Muskingum County students attending the Ohio State campuses.

“All the money that we raise from this event will go towards scholarships. Last year, we gave away over 20 scholarships to incoming freshmen and current Ohio State students. There was a total of over $20,000 last year in scholarships that our club gave to over 20 students.” Coconis said.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. and The Barn is located at 1947 Linden Avenue in Zanesville. For more information, visit the OSUACMC website.
