Ohio State Highway Patrol investigates a fatal single vehicle crash

ZANESVILLE, OH- The Ohio State Highway Patrol Zanesville Post is investigating a single vehicle crash that killed one person on State Route 586 in Licking Township, Muskingum County.

On August 7, 2025, at approximately 6:34 PM, Kathryn J. Jenkins, 75, from Utica Ohio, was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy northbound on State Route 586 near milepost 1.

Ms. Jenkins’ vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking a ditch, and overturned.

Ms. Jenkins succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
