ZANESVILLE, OH – If we were in luck for week seven, then week eight expects to be great for the high school football season.

The standings are taking shape, with some spots nearly locked up, as the Ohio High School Athletic Association released its latest computer rankings to determine playoff positioning in just a few’ weeks time. The top twelve schools in each region qualify for the playoffs, and the top four of which receive first round byes. Only local area schools within the top 16 rankings are listed below, sorted by division, region, and seed.


DIVISION III

REGION 11

  • 1st place: Licking Valley (7-0), 15.6286 (Up 1 spot from Week 7)
  • 5th place: Granville (5-2), 11.3071 (Up 6 spots from Week 7)
  • 9th place: Sheridan (6-1), 10.5214 (Down 2 spots from Week 7)
  • 11th place: Zanesville (4-3), 7.2857 (Down 2 spots from Week 7)
  • 14th place: Tri-Valley (4-3), 6.5857 (Up 1 spot from Week 7)
