Oil Spill On Underwood

The Zanesville Fire Department responded to a report of an oil spill on Underwood Street. It happened by Elm Avenue near
I-70 around 3:30 p.m. There were reports of cars sliding through the oil that at first was thought to have come from a semi tractor trailer, but that is not the case. Assistant Fire Chief Chad James says they do not know where the substance came from. They threw down some sand and have cleared the scene. There were no accidents reported. Zanesville Police were also called to the scene.
