Old-timers Hall of Fame Ceremony
Sunday, five men were inducted into a local hall of fame for their accomplishments in baseball.
The Muskingum Valley Old-timers Association hosted its 28th annual Hall of Fame banquet, honoring our area’s finest.
Pat Bollinger, Mike King, Chad Hale, William Moyer and former professional baseball player for the New York Mets, Jay Payton, were all inducted. President of the Old-timers Association and inductee, Pat Bollinger, told us what this honor meant to him.
“If you don’t recognize them, they’re forgotten,” said Bollinger. “People tend to forget what they did for the organization so this is one way that we make sure that they aren’t forgotten and they are awarded for the accomplishments that they made for Muskingum Valley Old-timers Association.
The banquet was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Sunrise Center Sunday at 6 p.m.
