One Dead after Crash in Morgan County

26 year old Steven Pierce is dead after a two vehicle accident that occurred just after 5:00 a.m. Aug. 26.

The Marietta post of the State Highway Patrol said 44 year old Brian Kincaid was traveling eastbound on State Route -266 in an International Semi-Tractor and Trailer. Pierce was driving a Hyundai Tiberon westbound. Pierce went left of center, side swiping Kincaid. He then spun off the right side of the road and struck an embankment.

He wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. Kincaid was not injured in the accident. Pierce was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
