One Local Club is Accepting Nominations for the Service to Mankind Award
One local club is preparing for what’s known to be the biggest award of the year.
The Zanesville Sertoma Club is accepting nomination for the Service to Mankind Award. Those who are wishing to nominate an individual member of the community can do so by writing a letter stating the reasons why you feel the candidate should be selected for this award.
"There are a lot of people in our community that help charities and other people and we have most of them are just happiest to be not recognized or they just do it because they want to do it. We just feel that it’s something that they should be recognized for," said Mike Maniaci, Board of Directors, Zanesville Sertoma Club.
Each nominee should be a Muskingum County resident who unselfishly gives of themselves with time and effort to further enhance the well-being of the community.
"I know people are always pressed for time and they don’t know what to say and they don’t know what to write. You can just write anything you want about the person, what good they did. It doesn’t have to be particularly formal or in any type of presentation," said Maniaci.
The winner will be honored and recognized at the Annual Sertoma Club Service to Mankind banquet.
