One Mane Place Stylists Wearing Pink For A Good Cause

The stylists at One Mane Place are looking pretty in pink through the month of October.

The purpose is to raise awareness on about breast cancer during the month of October. Jill Mahan, hair stylist at One Mane Place told us how they came up with the colorful idea.

"We came up with the idea because a dear friend of mine went through breast cancer this past year and each one of us in here has been effected by somebody in their life who’s had breast cancer. So one of my clients approached us and asked if we would be willing to do that and for me to be the team leader and I said, ‘of course.’"

The group is raising funds for a walk benefiting breast cancer. 10 walkers have signed up and others are invited to join. The walk will be taking place on October the 18th. Registration begins at 9AM and the walk begins at 10AM. If you are unable to make the walk you can still donate to their team, "Holly’s Hope" at One Mane Place. Mahan says wearing pink has been a fun experience.

"Well its been fun here at the salon to do it, all of the people that have come in who’s seen us in our pink wigs have just enjoyed it and then we get to tell them what we’re doing and they’ve all been so good about donating funds for the walk."

The salon will also be selling raffle tickets for gift baskets and other beauty packages.
