One Person Dies in Newark Fire

One woman is dead after an early morning house fire in Newark.

Assistant Chief of the Newark Fire Department David Decker said it happened at 45 Ramona Avenue just after 2 a.m. on Sunday.  Decker said 94-year-old Gussie Moorer was transported to a nearby hospital where she died.  No one else was home at the time of the fire.

Decker said investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
