One Transported in Accident

 The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office say they are investigating a dump truck accident at the intersection of St. Rt. 83 and Otsego Ave. 

Johnathan Young of Kimbolton was headed north on State Route 83 and went left of center striking Allen Weatherax of Coshocton who was driving a Honda south on 83.  After the initial strike, Young struck a guardrail  which caused the truck to flip on the passenger side. The truck then struck a bridge, flipped over, and went down the embankment. 

Young was transported to O.S.U Medical Center by Med-Flight and was reported to be in stable condition. Weatherax and the passengers in his vehicle (Monique Mayle, Ashley Price) were treated at the scene by the Coshocton County EMS and released. 

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Three Rivers Fire Department, ODOT, Coshocton County React, Princess Wrecker Service, and Med-Flight. 

The accident remains under investigation.
