Ormond Sentenced in Knox County

Ormond

A Zanesville man was sentenced in Knox County on a charge of attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.  The Knox County Prosecutor’s Office says that John Ormond went before Knox Common Pleas Judge Richard Wetzel and received community control for two years and was classified a Tier II sexual offender which means he must register his location twice a year for the next 25 years.  Prosecutor Chip McConville says his office argued for jail time but the judge did not impose it.  McConville says the Judge told Ormond to stay out of Knox County.
