Orville “Charlie” Miller

Orville “Charlie” Charles Miller, 93, of Zanesville passed at 6:18 A.M. Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Genesis ER.
He was born on Thursday, October 23, 1930 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late Orville G. Miller and Thelma Dunn Miller.
Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Air National Guard with 10 years of service. He graduated from Philo High School class of 1948. Charlie worked at Central Ohio Coal as a truck driver. He enjoyed square dancing, and farming.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Fisher Miller; three sons, Rick (Carol) Miller, Jeff (Lisa) Miller and Mike (Jessica) Miller; bonus daughter, Deborah (James) Rose; numerous grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Carl Longstreth and Dean Tysinger; many nieces and nephews; and his pet cat “Boots”.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by four sisters, Nancy Longstreth, Donna “Pete” Tysinger, infant sister Diana Miller and Bonnie Emmert Snider; and his pet dog “Buddy”.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 12:45 P.M. on Tuesday November 21, 2023 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Fr. David J. Young. Burial will conclude at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
