ZANESVILLE, Ohio–The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced that an OVI checkpoint will be held in Muskingum County Friday evening.

The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

“Based on provisional data, there were 1,150 fatal crashes, in which 672 were OVI related last year in Ohio,” Lt. K.
