WHIZ Sports 2-17: Morgan Raiders Advance In Playoffs; Cambridge Falls In OT

GAME #1: CAMBRIDGE BOBCATS VS. STRASBURG-FRANKLIN TIGERS
CAMBRIDGE, OH- Our first game of the evening took us to Cambridge as the bobcats hosted the Strasburg-Franklin Tigers in Boys Basketball.
Bobcats would strike first as Caleb Bond got a nice steal and took it all the way down for two points on the fastbreak.
Strasburg-Franklin would respond and from that point on, both teams traded buckets for most of the first half.
Cambridge added to their lead thanks to transition points and good passing while the road team drained shots from beyond the arc to keep the Tigers in it.
This one took overtime to decide the winner and it was Strasburg-Franklin defeating Cambridge 56-52
GAME #2: MORGAN RAIDERS VS. HARRISON CENTRAL HUSKIES
MCCONNELSVILLE, OH- The Morgan Raiders welcomed Harrison Central to their home floor for the sectional round of the playoffs.
The Raiders jumped out to a quick start as they opened up on a 8-0 run to begin the quarter. The Huskies tried to claw their way back after finding themselves down almost 20 points.
Danaica Rensi found a open Mckayla Dunkle and she got a lay up to go, that would spark Harrsion Central on a little run to get them back within striking distance.
But Morgan wouldn’t allow it to get too close as they defeated the Huskies 58-40.
