OUZ Student Nursing Association Hosting Good Samaritan Blanket Drive

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Ohio University Zanesville Student Nursing Association is hosting their annual Good Samaritan Blanket Drive.

They are collecting new or used blankets of any size until December 13th.

Donations can be dropped off at Elson Hall on OUZ’s Campus and all of the donations will be going to Eastside Community Ministry.

“There’s a big need in our community.” Heather Sands, the Manager of Campus Communications at OUZ, said. “Eastside Community Ministry partnered with us last year so we could have our donations in their office and we get to partner with them again this year.”

Sands said this Blanket Drive really means a lot to the nursing students, for many different reasons.

“The nursing students are always giving back to the community. Whether that be from flu shots or completing clinics, but the Blanket Drive it’s different. Sands said. “They feel passionate about the Blanket Drive because it’s a legacy from previous nurses that have come through our program.”

Elson Hall is located at 1425 Newark Rd if you would like to help support the Blanket Drive.
