OVI Checkpoint Tonight

A sobriety checkpoint will take place Friday night in Lancaster. 

The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol, the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and the Lancaster Police Department will work together to hold the checkpoint on East Main Street from 8-10pm.

The OVI checkpoint is funded through federal grants and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. 

The checkpoint will be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols. The State Patrol said if you plan to consume alcohol you should designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink.
