Pamela Ann Gaiters (July 11, 1943 – July 17, 2009)

Pamela Ann Gaiters, 66 of Zanesville, died 11:07 AM Friday, July 17, 2009 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice following a ten month illness. She was born Sunday, July 11, 1943 in Zanesville, the daughter of Isaac and Elda (Mayle) Fowler. She married Larry J. Gaiters on Friday, November 08, 1963 to whom she was happily married for over 45 years. She was a dedicated lifelong member of Greater Apostolic Church of Christ and greatly enjoy her bible study. Pamela was formally employed by Lowes Home Improvement Center. She enjoyed making sports pillows, especially Ohio State Pillows. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by three sons: Michael (Vickie) Gaiters of Zanesville; Jerrod Gaiters of Columbus and Larry W. Gaiters, Jr.; seven grandchildren: Tyler, Caleb Sydney, Alexandria, Peyton, Lydia and Christian Gaiters; two brothers: Jeff (Penny) Fowler of Zanesville and Mark (Leisha) Fowler of Findley; five sisters-in-laws: Peggy Gaiters of Min., Connie Akins of Zanesville, Beth Ann Young of Columbus, Becky Brown of Zanesville and Joyce Henderson of CA; three bothers-in-law: Bishop James W. (Marcia) Gaiters of Columbus; Leon (Jackie) Gaiters of Zanesville and Bobby (Tonya) Gaiters of CA; two aunts: Louise Williams of Zanesville and Eva Dolce of Heath; one uncle Emmett Mayle of Baltimore: cousins: Linda and Beth Stevens, Robert Goins Timmy Rush, Kimberly Anderson, Vernon Stevens, Martin Stevens, Charmain Green and Belinda Green of Zanesville, Susan Rush and Robert Goins both of Heath; two very special friends: Wanda Morgan and Shelia Branson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law: Mary Ruth Gaiters; one brother-in-law: Mark J. Gaiters; her grandmother: Holli Smith Mayle; one uncle: Odbert Mayle: one cousin: Randy Williams; aunts: Alberta Goins, Velma Stevens, Lillian Rush, and Evelyn Holbert; and three uncles: Artie Mayle, Raymond Mayle and Kenneth Mayle.

Friends may call from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM Wednesday, July 22, at The HILLIS & HARDWICK FUNERAL HOME, 935 Forest Avenue and one hour prior to funeral services from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 23, at the Greater Apostolic Church of Christ, 1651 South State Church with Elder Terrence Brown and Bishop James W. Gaiters officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Greater Apostolic Church of Christ in Pamela’s name.
