Pamela Dunn-Uddin

Pamela J. Dunn-Uddin, 85 of Zanesville, died 5:33 PM, Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice. She was born Wednesday, October 8, 1941, in Zanesville, the daughter of Judge H. Christy Dunn and Mrs. Clarissa (Rushton) Dunn. She married Charles Uddin, and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Pam received her Bachelors of Fine Art Degree from the Columbus College of Art and Design.
Pam was deeply devoted to Zanesville, and spent much of her life advocating for the community she loved. She was known for always fighting for a good cause, including efforts to save the historic downtown building. Because of her dedication to the city and its people, she was often affectionately referred to as the “Mayor of Main Street.”
One of her greatest passions was helping younger adults succeed. Through her work as a mentor, and business adviser, she offered encouragement, guidance, and practical support to those beginning their careers and building their futures.
She was also a lifelong dog lover who shared her home with many beloved dogs throughout the years. She was deeply involved in animal rescue, and many of her pets were dogs who had been abandoned by others.
Pam was the 2019 recipient of the Women of Achievement, Mary Vashti Funk Business Award. These awards recognize women who have made significant contributions to the local area.
She was the owner and operator of Yellow Phoenix Antiques, where her energy, determination, and commitment to the community were evident in everything she did. Her love for Zanesville, her willingness to stand up for what she believed in, and the many people she mentored will remain part of her lasting legacy.
Pam is survived by many dear friends, including Dotty & Bill Hassell, Brad Wolfe, Stephanie Cowgill, Marc Carpenter, Carol Bryan, and the staff of The Helen Purcell Home. The family extends special thanks to each of them for the friendship, companionship, kindness, and compassionate care they provided to Pam over the past several years.
Pam was preceded in death by her parent, and husband.
