Panel Rules Against Space Ad
An bi-partisan panel of the Ohio Elections Commission ruled that an ad for Democratic Congressman Zack Space makes false statements about his challenger.
Republican Bob Gibbs is running against Space for the 18th district Congressional seat. Thursday in a press release, Gibbs says an elections panel made up of one Republican, one Democrat and one Independent unanimously voted that there is probable cause that false statements were made in an ad about Gibbs.
Gibbs says the question now is whether or not the Congressman will "do the right thing" and take the ad down.
Zack Space’s campaign manager Danny Friedman says that they are not pulling the ad and that Bob Gibbs is involved in a smoke-and-mirrors effort to try and distract voters from the fact that he voted for the largest tax increase in Ohio’s history. He says that facts are facts and that Gibbs should stop running away from them.
