Park District Looks to Beautify Area
Despite the chill in the air, one organization is gearing up for the warmer weather.
The Muskingum Valley Park District is looking for suggestions for areas within the county to redevelop. Director Bonnie Dailey said suggestions are welcomed from multiple sources.
"We’ve been generating our own projects and trying to secure the grants so that we can either build things or purchase land, and so most of that is government money that we’ve been able to get from Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio Department of Transportation, those sorts of things, but we’re always willing to listen and get input from the public," said Dailey
Dailey spoke at Zanesville Noon Rotary on Tuesday afternoon, and said she is looking forward to projects she hopes will take place within Muskingum County in the near future.
"The city of zanesville has parks, a lot of the little communities, the villages and communities around have their own parks, too. We’re looking more at open green space, hiking trails, biking, wildlife watching, those sorts of things. "
Dailey said the district wants to build and develop land that will be used and enjoyed by all county residents. To contact Dailey at the Muskingum County Park District, call (740) 455-8237, or email mvpd@muskingumcounty.org .
