Park District’s Course of Action

The Muskingum Valley Park District wants some community feedback.

They’ve been working with Hays Landscape Architect Studio, Ltd. to gather information about parks, recreation and trails in Muskingum County. Through the process they are including the community.

"We’ve been working on a master plan for park development in Muskingum County and we’ve been working with a consultant and we would like to get some public input as to what the needs are from the people who actually live here," says Director of the Muskingum Valley Park District, Bonnie Dailey.

Hays previously surveyed community members, and Tuesday night’s attendees also got to voice what they’d like to see on some of the Park Districts’ properties.

Dailey says, "we’ve been moving along and acquiring property and developing property, but we need some public input into what the other needs are."

Potential projects could include include hiking trails, bike trails, parks, and more.
