ZANESVILLE, Ohio – PATRIOT Companies in Zanesville has just landed an important certification. After J.P. Marshall started his company in 2011 and expanded it to a 105,000 square foot facility, PATRIOT Companies celebrated a new Minority Business Enterprise Certification. This certification helps this fabrication, construction, and machining company compete.

“So my grandmother, her side of the family is Japanese. So part of the MBE Program is what they do is allow you certain bidding opportunities and you get certain credits on government projects to be able to bid over and above companies that just operate normally without any heritage,” Marshall said.

With this milestone achieved, Marshall hopes that he can leverage the certification to benefit the community.

“Well there’s a lot of technology development coming to the Columbus area. I’d like to see Muskingum County get more of that,” Marshall said. “Those are projects we’re actively bidding. You know, you go Anduril, possibly still the Intel project. You got a bunch of other projects like Amazon, Facebook, AI companies and what not. We’re wanting to basically put a bid in on those types of things. To be able to get more jobs and more revenue in Muskingum County.”
