Paul Arnold

Paul Jerome “Jerry” Arnold, 87 of Zanesville died at 9:10 PM Sunday, May 11, 2025 at the OSU Hospital following a short illness.
He was born March 11, 1938 in Zanesville Ohio the son of Carl Andrew Arnold and Carrie Agnes Untied Arnold.
Jerry retired in 2003 from Kroger’s Grocery Store after 46 years of service as a meat cutter. He loved being active outdoors doing anything from chopping wood, hunting & farming. Jerry also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren watching them play sports & telling corny jokes. He was also known for mentoring those who needed assistance, and he liked to use the farm for teaching life lessons.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Theresa Marie Schwallie Arnold whom he married April 26,1958; his four children, Michael (Amanda) Arnold, Renee (Dave) Eppley, Lynn (Jeff “Fly”) Garrison and Keith (Tiffany) Arnold; grandchildren, Saunders (Kaveri) Arnold and Zane Arnold, Drew Eppley and Grant Eppley, Seth Garrison and Jessie Garrison and Kaid Arnold and Mylee Arnold; a sister, Carol May; numerous nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Andy Lang, and a sister-in-law Billie Arnold. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his siblings, Romaine (Bill) Joseph, Carl (Lucille) Arnold, Gene Arnold and Karen Lang and a grandson, Jorden Thomas Williams.
No public visitation or funeral services will be observed. The family will have a private Celebration of Life service at a later date.
