PAWS Cookie Walk

The PAWS group of Muskingum County is holding their annual Cookie Walk Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the basement of Trinity United Presbyterian Church on Military Road. Members of the organization have been busy baking, icing and packaging tons of cookies over the past few days.

"We put them in one pound packages. We have sugar cookies, a good variety of cookies, we have a Chinese auction, we have candy, pet treats, and a variety of other miscellaneous things," said PAWS President, Kris Medley.

Medley says there will be dog and cat treats for sale and there will also be a Chinese auction at the event.

"All of our proceeds go towards spaying and neutering pets. We believe in zero pet population so everything we earn goes back into spaying and neuter."

Medley is hoping to raise around $4,000-$5,000.
