Paying Tribute to Fallen Westerville Officers

A large crowd filled a Westerville church to pay tribute to two fallen police officers.
Through hymns and prayer the people in the church joined together to honor the officers at a vigil Sunday night.
Westerville Officers Erick Joering and Anthony Morelli were shot and killed while responding to a 911 hang-up call Saturday.
The police department chaplain started to break down as he shared a poignant moment from time spent with Officer Joering’s family, including the slain officer’s three young daughters.
The man accused of killing the two police officers has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder. Authorities filed the charges against 30-year-old Quentin Smith late Sunday afternoon.
