Penny Scott

ZANESVILLE

Penny Rae Scott, 68, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 19, 1955, in Zanesville to the late Vernon and Charlotte Wise Porter. She was a 1973 graduate of West Muskingum High School. Penny received her cosmetology certificate from Carousel Beauty College and worked at Elder Beerman’s in the make up department. Her grandson was her life and she enjoyed watching him grow into the young man that he is today.

She is survived by her husband Dave Scott; daughter Angie (Derek Alford) Porter; a brother Pat (Paula) Porter; a sister Polly (Rick) Jesse; mother-in-law Donna Scott; her grandson Jarrett Alford; brother-in-law Doug (Cindy) Scott; sister-in-law Dodie (Chauncey) Warstler; a special niece Kali Rae Parrish; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a nephew Colt Porter and father-in-law Jim Scott.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Austin and the nurses at Kidney Care Center.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Friday, February 23, 2024, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral service will be held at 11AM Saturday, February 24, in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Forks Cemetery.
