Perry County Drug Investigations Lead to Arrests
Perry County Sheriff William Barker announced Tuesday that two separate investigations have led to the arrest of seven people on drug trafficking charges.
Authorities said following an investigation that began in February, detectives arrested 33-year-old Timothy Riley and his girlfriend 59-year-old Darla Jackson.
Investigators said detectives witnessed Jackson and Riley on several occasions selling oxycodone, once outside a pharmacy in New Lexington, the other outside a Kroger parking lot. Two of the buyers were also arrested.
Riley and Jackson are both charged with felony drug trafficking and permitting drug abuse.
The second investigation on March 10th led to the arrest of 38-year-old James Goss of Corning along with his 35-year-old wife Jennifer Goss and Bill Britton Jr.
Authorities said James Goss attempted to sell oxycodone to an informant. He along with his wife were followed by detectives to Britton’s home in Corning.
James Goss was arrested on a felony count of drug trafficking and Jennifer Goss on a felony count of permitting drug abuse.
Britton was arrested on two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs and possession of weapons while under a disability.
Additional charges are pending after the cases are presented to a grand jury.
