Perry County Fatal Accident Investigated

 The Lancaster Post of the Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident in Perry County. 

It happened Saturday just before 11:30 am at the intersection of County Road 23 and County Road 57 in Jackson Township in Perry County.  Troopers say 40-year-old Joseph Sole of Sabina, Ohio was traveling west on CR 57 approaching CR 23,  failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by another vehicle.  It was driven by 18-year-old Kevin Beal II of Pleasantville who was traveling north on CR 23. Sole was taken to Fairfield Medical Center where he died from his injuries. Investigator say a 10-year-old juvenile in the Sole vehicle was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with serious injuries and remains in critical condition.  Mr Beal and a 16-year-old passenger were taken to Fairfield Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  The accident remains under investigation.
