Pet of The Week: Tucker
The Animal Shelter Society is featuring a new pet of the week.
Meet Tucker, a 5 year old mixed breed who has been living at the shelter for about a year now. He has been neutered and is up to date on all his shots. Executive Director of The Animal Shelter Society, Jody Murray says he would make a good farm dog or companion for someone living in the country.
"Tucker is a very energetic dog. He’s about 50 pounds, lot of energy. He really has a good personality, but he doesn’t get along with other cats and doesn’t get along with other dogs. So he would be a good dog for someone who lived out in the county, you know have older kids at home, just because of his energy level he’s not good around little kids but, doesn’t have any aggression problems or anything like that."
Tucker has a special adoption fee of $10 and will be sent home with 2 free bags of food. His first wellness visit back to the shelter will be absolutely free. If you would like to take him home, all you need to do is stop in and fill out some paperwork. Murray also told us about an upcoming auction the Shelter is hosting on October 25th at Eagle Sticks Country Club.
"It starts at 5 o’clock, doors open at 5PM, program starts at 6PM. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the shelter. It’s $25 which includes a great meal that Eagle Sticks is providing"
