Pet of the Week: Garth

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Another Friday has come upon us, which means its time for the pet of the week.
Meet Garth, an adorable Lab mix puppy who has been at the Animal Shelter Society for ten weeks. Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Society, Jody Murray, says Labs make excellent family dogs. Garth is good with other animals, loves people, and enjoys being held. Garth is up to date on his shots and his adoption fee is $140.
Murray said “this little guy is just an all around great puppy. He is good around other animals. Certainly take him into your home and spend some time training him and letting him know what your routine is and he is gonna be a great, great addition to anybody’s home.”
Murray is also grateful for the students at Maysville Elementary School. A donation drive was put on by the students for the Animal Shelter Society. Murray says they received food, a variety of items, and a cash donation. He was thoroughly impressed with the way the school is teaching the students to help out the community at such a young age.
Murray also said “We just want to say thanks to those students. It’s a great bunch of students that we met. Without that kind of support we obviously would not be able to do all the things that we do.”
The Animal Shelter Society currently has a special going on. If someone adopts a pet, you can get a free bag of dog food, and a free wellness clinic visit.
