Pet of the Week: Lovely

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- It’s National Puppy Day, but the Animal Shelter was clear out so we have a feline friend to introduce you to instead.
Lovely is a domestic shorthair cat who is about a year old. Shelter Director Jody Murray said she is an owner surrender who will do well with any family. He said Lovely likes to cuddle.
“You can see she doesn’t mind being held a little bit. So that’s good. So if you’re somebody that wants to have a cat to hold and kind of be a lap cat she’ll do that well for you,” said Murray.
Lovely’s adoption fee is $60. She is up to date on all of her shots and has had her surgery. If you would like to meet Lovely, the shelter encourages you to bring your family to visit her at the shelter.
The shelter is also gearing up for its first reverse raffle fundraiser. The raffle will take place at Bryan Place on May 3rd.
“Tickets are $100. We’re going to sale 200 tickets total. And for that you’ll get the chance to win up to $5,000.”
Murray said there will be a pasta bar at the fundraiser. Tickets can be purchased at the shelter. Also, the shelter is holding a ‘Dog N Jog 5k’ run tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. at Collegiate Park Rogge Trail on the Zane State OUZ campus.
