Pet of the Week: Yoda

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- This week’s “Pet of the Week” is a loving cat hoping to purr his way into your home.

Meet Yoda. He’s a one-year-old Turkish Van mix weighing in at 12 pounds. Yoda is an owner surrender who likes to relax and wouldn’t mind being a lap cat. He’s up to date on all of his shots and has already been neutered. His adoption fee is $60 and he’s ready to join your family.

“He would do good in any home. He loves everybody. I think he would do fine with kids,” said Charity Stevens the Assistant Director at the Animal Shelter Society, Inc. “Just with small kids again anytime you have a new pet always use supervision just to make sure that it goes well. He doesn’t mind dogs other cats. He just wants to be loved on.”

Stevens is also reminding the community that tickets for the shelter’s first reverse raffle are on sale. The deadline for the early bird special is drawing near.

“If you purchase your tickets for $100 before April 15th you’ll be entered in the early bird special and a chance to win $500 dollars,” said Stevens. “And the grand prize for the raffle – reverse raffle – is $5,000. So don’t forget to get your tickets.”

For more information on Yoda or the reverse raffle you can call the Animal Shelter at 740-452-1077.
