Phillip Lyle Krier 64 of Duncan Falls passed away on Monday November 2, 2015 at The James Cancer Center at OSU. He was born in Zanesville, on July 2, 1951 to the late John Russell and Mary Catherine Godfrey Krier. Phillip was an electrician at Owens Brockway where he retired after 35years. He served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the United States Army during Viet Nam for nineteen months. He was a licensed pilot who enjoyed flying and was building a sport plane. He was a member of Buckeye Moose Lodge 2434, VFW Post 1058, Lafayette F&AM #79, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and The Experimental Aircraft Association.
Phillip married the love of his life, C. Fay Smith Krier 40 years ago on October 25, 1975 of the home.
He is survived by a son, Joe (Amanda) Krier, two grandsons Blake and Landon. He is also survived by a brother Jim Krier, two sisters, Joyce (Ron) Hawk and Kay Swichard. His mother-in-law, Wonetta Smith, Sister-in-law’s Sheila (Frank) Lorch, Kay(John) Shook, Brother-in-Law’s Mike (Molly) Smith and Larry Smith and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 4 – 8 PM on Thursday November 5, 2015 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 West Military Road Zanesville, Ohio 43701
Masonic Services will be conducted at 8:00 PM
Funeral Services will be in the Snouffer Funeral Home Chapel on Friday November 6, 2015 at 12 Noon with Father Martin Ralko officiating.
