Philo Defeats Maysville on Road

Girls basketball Wednesday night was a low scoring battle between the blue and gold between the Philo Electrics and Maysville Panthers. The Panthers were seeking their first victory of the season, but would not get it as Philo defeated Maysville 48-36. Both teams went back and forth for the first half and Philo led 14-12 at halftime.

Philo took an early advantage in the third quarter by jumping ahead by nearly digits to gain separation, before riding the wave to victory. Maysville falls to 0-6 and will take on Morgan at home, Wednesday, December, 15th at 7:30pm. Philo gets to .500 on the season at 3-3, and will host River View Saturday, December, 11th at 1:00pm.
