Philo Woman Sentenced In Death Of Her Dad

A Philo woman charged in the murder of her father has now decided not to try to change her guilty plea.  Last week 19-year-old Jennifer Lynn McHenry was supposed to be sentenced in the shooting death of her dad, but told the Judge she wanted to change her plea.  At a hearing Monday she told the Judge that she does not want to withdraw her former guilty plea.  So Judge Mark Fleegle sentenced her to 15 years to life in prison, plus three years on a gun charge.  McHenry was charged in the shooting death of her dad 56 year-old Donald McHenry.  The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says in June of 2011 they were called to 660 Irish Ridge Road where they found Mr. McHenry in the front yard.  In a 9-1-1 call at the time McHenry said her father tried to kill her.
