We start on games from Wednesday night on Highway 103 where the Tri-Valley lady Dogs were in action against Steubenville. The Scotties were dominant from start to finish on the defensive end only allowing 15 points total in the game, and our player of the game MacKenzie Harvey almost matched their score she had 11 points and 7 rebounds in Scotties 43-15 beat down.
Staying on Highway 103 but moving on to Friday night the Maysville Panthers showed their playoff intensity against Claymont. Jordyn Watson had another break out in back to back games but our player of the game goes to Kade Rock who set the tone for the Panthers with a couple of 3’s and defensive presence as Maysville routed Claymont.
AM 1240 was in New Concord for a all MVL tournament match up between the Muskies and Philo. John Glenn coach Eric Sheck said after the game that the Electrics “gave them everything they could handle”, and one of the reasons they were able to overcome the Philo storm was because of Brayden Davis who had a huge game dropping in a 28 point, 13 rebound double-double in a 76-64 win.
And the last Friday night game was on Z92 where the Tri-Valley Scotties got off to a tough start, but was able to turn it up a notch in the second quarter and pulled away. Ryan Lamonica takes home player of the game with a solid 4 points and 4 rebounds in the game as Tri-Valley cruised to a 53-37 victory.
We have a few more extra players of the game from this Saturday’s slate of games, Tri-Valley’s Maddie Garber had a nice game to lead the Scotties with16 points and 5 assists but it came in a loss in the District Finals.
And last West Muskingum Lyla Johnson dropped in 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds but this also was in loss in the District Final.
