We start on Highway 103 this time last week on a Monday night where the New Lexington Panthers took on Circleville. After a 2 hour ride to get to the gym New Lexington felt right at home, the Panthers jumped out to a 12 point lead to start the game and would not look back. Though Isaiah Stephens was seemed to be on a rampage dropping 19 points to lead the team and adding 5 assist it was his little brother Eli Stephens taking home player of the game. Eli scored a solid 7 points and snatched 8 rebounds off the glass while holding strong in the post against a Circleville team that had 2 players 6’4 or taller. His hard work helped the Panthers get a huge 48-34 win.

Moving on to Tuesday night on Z92, theTri-Valley Scotties got a tough draw in the District Semi-final going up against top seeded Steubenville. The Dawgs were hanging around for most of the game especially with the help of the player of the game Troy Patterson who gave them 5 points off the bench. But even with the spark Tri-Valley fell just short in completing their comeback.

Highway was also in action Tuesday night as well when it went out to go see the red hot Maysville Panthers. Like most of these games in the tournament Maysville took a little bit of time to adjust to their opponent and once they did it was over. After taking a 2 point lead going into halftime player of the game Jordyn Watson ignited in the second half along side his teammate Gator Nichols. Watson nailed 4 triples in the game that went into his 18 total points to give the Panthers the win over East Liverpool.

And for the final game from that night on AM 1240 the John Glenn Muskies took a trip to Cambridge to battle the Braves of Indian Valley. In this back and forth affair the Muskies needed the help of Andrew Glaub who takes home the honors of player of the game after possibly being the best defensive player for John Glenn. He would come away with 5 steals in the game but even with the impressive defense the Muskies fell in a close one to Indian Valley.

Z92 came right back on Wednesday night at Meadowbrook High School where the Bishops from Rosecrans came to the scene and took command from the tip-off. Player of the game Kohen Harris poured in 15 points in the statement victory over River where the Bishops scored on 6 of their first 7 shots.

And last from this past Saturday night Bishop Rosecrans was in action again looking to advance and claim a district championship. Owen Lambert did everything he could on the defensive end grabbing 11 rebounds and 2 steals while also chipping in 5 points but Steubenville Catholic Central was more aggressive on the boards and walked away with the victory ending the Bishops season.
