Then there was one. The Maysville Panthers are the lone local team remaining in the OHSAA basketball tournament, and after two wins in the regional round last week, let’s take a look at the top players and their performances to help the Panthers advance to the state semifinals this Friday.

A dominant 74-44 win in the regional semis against fellow MVLers and Panthers from New Lex. In that game, Gavin Ferguson had a strong game off the bench with 10 points on a perfect 4-4 shooting.

Then in the 66-54 victory over River Valley in the regional final, Kane Roehrig had a tremendous game on both ends of the floor with 14 points, nine rebounds, and six blocks as the Panthers are headed to the final four this Friday at Wittenberg.
