Postal Service Job Fair

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – If you are searching for a new job position, look no further.
The Ohio Valley District hosted a job fair at the Zanesville Postal Service Office. They are looking to hire people to fill in city and rural carrier assistant positions. Starting salary would be around $17 per hour with some benefits.
“Basically right now with this job fair we have information that you could take back with you. But that doesn’t preclude people from applying any time on usps.com. So just if you missed the job fair today that doesn’t preclude you from applying from the positions,” said Ohio Valley District Safety Manager, George Carrington.
City carrier positions are physically demanding jobs where they would be out delivering mail on foot. As opposed to rural carriers who are in vehicles delivering to each mailbox. Carrington also said they are always looking for people because they are constantly trying to fill their pool with qualified employees.
“It’s a rewarding job, you get to go out into the community, meet people. No matter if you’re a city carrier or rural carrier, it’s definitely a great job,” he added.
Interested applicants can apply on the United States Postal Service website. The website lists all the positions available for immediate hire.
