Power of the Purse Returns to Support Local Nonprofits
ZANESVILLE, OH – It’s time to grab a purse for a purpose! This annual Power of the Purse is back to support local nonprofits with a fun-filled evening,
Power of the Purse is a fundraiser where stylish handbags meet meaningful impact. The fundraiser features a purse auction with exciting incentives inside, plus dinner and other fun activities.
“This happens once a year, and there’s usually about 300 ladies that come together, and we auction off about 100 purses with beautiful incentives. The purses are gorgeous. We also offer a silent auction, a wine pull, and pick a purse. There’s something for everybody at Power of the Purse.” Power of the Purse Co-Chair & Founder, Marlene Henderson said.
The proceeds this year will support 5 different nonprofits. If you’d like to contribute to the auction, donations of new purses are being accepted at any Park National Bank in Muskingum County.
“That’s what’s unique about this event. Every year, we change our nonprofits. This year, the proceeds will go to Project Blueprint, the Muskingum County Library System, Muskingum Behavioral Health, AIM Outreach, and A Storybook Christmas.” Power of the Purse Co-Chair, Heather Devoll said.
The Power of the Purse fundraiser will be Saturday, June 15th at Zane State College. The doors open at 4:30 PM with dinner starting at 5:30. For more details, visit the Muskingum County Community Foundation’s website.
